miles south of Oban is the Clachan Bridge, popularly known as 'The Bridge
Over The Atlantic' which links the island of Seil to the mainland of Argyll.
the During the 18th and 19th century Seil and Easdale were at the centre
of the Scottish slate industry. The car free island of Easdale, which
boasts an attractive museum can be reached by a small passenger ferry
at the south western end of Seil and from the southern end of Seil a small
car ferry operates across the Cuan Sound to Luing.
