Witches Pool and Chia Aig Waterfall.

Located on the River Caig (or Abhainn Chia-aig), & tumbling into the so-called Witch’s Pool beside its charming stone bridge, Eas Chia-aig is one of many fine sights on the Achnacarry Estate of Cameron of Lochiel. Achnacarry is located near Fort William & Spean Bridge, in what was once called Inverness-shire. In the film ‘Rob Roy’, Liam Neeson made his way down alongside this scenic fall & dangled from the bridge. The Achnacarry area is undergoing a ‘restoration’ of Scots Pine woodland & ecology.
